Integrating Minds
Hi, I’m Hayley.

I’m a Counsellor and member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) with over a decade of professional experience supporting adolescents and young adults to create meaningful change in their lives and relationships.

My work is guided by a strong commitment to ending family and relationship violence. I specialise in working with young men (including young fathers) who want to understand their behaviour, build emotional awareness, and strengthen their capacity for respect, safety, and connection.

The evidence-based approaches I use include
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
and Mindfulness-Based interventions
-
.....integrated within a trauma-informed, values-based, and person-centred framework.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and advanced study majors in Child Development and Effective Parenting through Counselling. My current studies in the Master of Domestic and Family Violence Practice have further strengthened my commitment to evidence-based, ethical, and socially responsible practice.

Alongside my counselling work, I have extensive experience in the Domestic and Family Violence sector as a Senior Behaviour Change Program Facilitator, delivering both group and individual interventions that promote accountability and safer relationship practices.

Integrating Minds was created from a genuine belief that every person has the capacity to choose differently in their relationships, take responsibility, and live in a way that reflects the best of who they are... with a central focus on safety.
I believe change happens when young men are supported to connect with their values, learning to act with integrity, empathy, and purpose. My counselling style is down-to-earth and relational, offering a safe space for honest reflection and meaningful growth.

Hi
I am "Alfie".
I am in training.

My Approach

Through experiential learning, young men can increase self awareness to promote psychological flexibility and wellbeing by having a direct experience with how they relate to their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
